Meet Dr. Harry
Our Scientific Director, and co-founder, Dr. Harrison Weisinger—known to us as Dr. Harry—has an impressive and diverse background in medicine, having practiced in the UK, Australia, Europe, and the United States.
Before earning his medical degree, Dr. Harry completed a Master’s and Ph.D., focusing on the impact of nutrition on brain development, body weight, and blood pressure.
His career as a family doctor, university professor, and scientist has been dedicated to advancing human health.
Dr. Harry’s commitment to health improvement is deeply personal. From the age of 18, he faced a series of serious health challenges, leading to 30 hospitalisations by the time he turned 40. Diagnosed with Crohn's disease and later Lymphoma—these experiences fuelled his passion for bettering both his own health and that of others.
Remarkably, since turning 40, Dr. Harry’s health has been exceptional, a testament to his relentless pursuit of wellness.
Meet Trent
Our CEO, and co-founder, Trent Scanlen, embodies leadership, determination, and tireless dedication. Growing up in Australia, Trent was immersed in a healthy lifestyle from a young age, spending his days surfing and playing Rugby League. However, during his time in a demanding international corporate role, he lost sight of his health and nutrition until a devastating diagnosis changed everything.
In 2012, Trent faced a life-altering challenge when he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. It was during this journey that he discovered the powerful benefits of Curcumin. Even as Trent was undergoing chemotherapy, the two co-founders wrote the business plan for what would become KURK.
Now cancer-free and thriving Trent maintains a vigilant focus on managing inflammation and has committed to helping others do the same.
